As part of this key green initiative, Tucker Bags will donate a total of 10,000 reusable grocery bags to local families and under-served communities through NW Harvest, Food LifeLine and other local food banks.

In 2008, NW Harvest spent nearly $16,000 on 500,000 plastic bags at just the Cherry St. Food Bank.  By the end of 2009 they aim to reduce that number by half.
